WABI SABI is an independent Lofi / Electronic artist whose music is based on the Japanese aesthetic of wabi-sabi / 侘寂 — a world view centered on the acceptance of transience and imperfection.
The aesthetic of wabi-sabi / 侘寂 includes asymmetry, roughness, simplicity, and appreciation of the ingenuous integrity of natural objects and processes.
Through the process of resampling the sounds of the world, sound manipulation, and vintage vinyl distortion, WABI SABI strives to incorporate these musical imperfections to his advantage — creating music that values imperfections.
His first beat tape entitled without you, what to do was released in January 2020. WABI SABI aims to release more free-to-use beats on Thematic for creators to use worry-free.
